Hello from sunny California! I’ve been spending the month of April with my husband traveling over many areas in the southern region of California. The first week was fairly uneventful and chilly weather, in Los Angeles, but the second week was well worth the trip! We traveled to Camarillo which is about 65 miles outside of Los Angeles. The best part was when Brian purchased a rental car for me. I explored the coastline while he worked. I spent my evenings researching where I would drive and then would take off in the mornings and not return until late afternoon. It was an awesome feeling of independence and I thoroughly enjoyed exploring several coastal communities on my own. One of the areas that held my interest was the missions of Southern California. I was able to visit two of these historic landmarks and enjoyed photographing the architecture. I also enjoyed several outdoor malls, the beaches, and antique shopping in the little town of Carpenteria, CA. Brian and I will start the three day drive home this week. I can only imagine what our yard looks like. We'll probably spend our first week doing nothing but clean up! Oh well, at least being gone a month means most of the cold weather in Indiana is now gone! Explorations last week:
This month's wallpapers have a Bougainvillea theme! The flower is widely blooming in California right now. I hope you enjoy the photos! |
